Astronomer's Romance - TAG Heuer Carrera Astronomer

The new TAG Heuer Carrera Astronomer watch, with a 39mm case, is based on the Carrera large three-hand version, continuing its modern, smooth and well-proportioned case shape. The 39mm case also fits the current trend of small watch diameters, making it comfortable to wear and beautiful. The best TAG Heuer Carrera replica watches at captainthewatch.is.

The central highlight of the watch lies at the 6 o'clock position. TAG Heuer has broken with the traditional artistic expression of moon phase watches, departing from the "moon hanging in a window of the starry sky" design. Instead, it adheres to the principles of scientific precision, condensing the true state of the moon and the rhythm of the universe on the wrist. The precision rotating moon phase disc uses seven graphical representations to depict the moon's form. The arrow-shaped hand advances precisely at 1:00 a.m. each day, synchronized with the moon's movement, clearly indicating the phases of the new moon (NEW) and full moon (FULL). It also displays the moon's precise position within the synodic and full-month cycle, with a 29.5-day lunar age scale.

The series currently offers three models: a steel case with a steel bracelet, a two-tone gold model, and a steel case with a leather strap, forming the Carrera "Moon Phase Trilogy." All new models feature a sun-brushed silver-white dial, maximizing the metallic luster. The case back is engraved with the observatory dome and is equipped with the new Calibre 7 movement, boasting a 50-hour power reserve.

Omega's "All-Round Watch"

Since its introduction in 2002, Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra has not only earned the reputation of being Omega's "all-rounder," but has also consistently served as the go-to watch within the Seamaster family. While not the most aesthetically pleasing or the most water-resistant, it's the most reliable for everyday wear. Thinner than the Planet Ocean, more versatile than the Seamaster 300, and more robust than the caliber 88 in all non-chronograph Seamaster 300M models. This time, the go-to watch has gone all out, featuring both a ceramic bezel and a striking rubber strap with matching dial-color stitching. The best Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra replica watches at captainthewatch.is.

Compared to the all-steel AT150 with a turquoise dial, this ceramic bezel version is also available in two sizes: a 38mm model with a thickness of 12.36mm and a weight of 88g, and a 41mm model with a thickness of 13.26mm and a weight of 106g. While the case remains the traditional Aqua Terra three-hand, fully polished surface, with the signature lyre-shaped lugs, tapered screw-down crown, and wavy-edged caseback, the addition of a ceramic bezel instantly imbues this classic case with an unprecedented sense of depth and youthfulness. Beyond the case, the most captivating aspect of this watch is undoubtedly the captivating turquoise dial. The entire dial features a matte finish, with a refreshing blue-green color that gradually transitions to black from the center to the edge, harmoniously complementing the dark gray PVD-coated hour markers and hands, as well as the turquoise minute track. This time, the black dial ends with the striking ceramic bezel!

Powering the 41mm and 38mm models are the familiar Co-Axial Master Chronometer calibers 8900 and 8800, respectively. As Omega's workhorse movements, these two movements have not only passed the rigorous Master Chronometer certification but have also stood the test of time and the market. They boast 15,000-gauss anti-magnetic protection, a free-slip silicon balance spring, bidirectional winding, and a frequency of 25,200 oscillations per hour. The 8900 also boasts a more robust dual-mainspring barrel with a 60-hour power reserve and a practical time zone quick-adjustment function. While these two ceramic bezel AT150s are already excellent, I hope Omega will introduce models with more colorful ceramic bezels in the future.
