Omega launched the Seamaster 1948 Limited Edition watch. The new watch was launched at the Basel International Watch and Jewellery Show in 2018. From an aesthetic point of view, the Omega Seamaster 1948 Limited Edition is very faithful to the original. In addition to changing the material of the case, the evolution of the platinum version of the Omega Seamaster 1948 is subtle. The overall retro-oriented design has not changed much compared to the original 1948 model. The best Omega Seamaster replica watches at captainthewatch.is.
The case is now made of 950 Platinum with a diameter of 38 mm and a height of 11.20 mm (central seconds) or 11.65 mm (small seconds). The small seconds version, due to the addition of several wheels, shifts the seconds from the center to the 6 o'clock position, slightly thicker. The white gold case retains the same finish, primarily a polished surface and a brushed case. The shoulder straps are also different and are now made of green or brown crocodile leather.
On the back are Chris Kraft and Gloucester Meteor, paying tribute to pilots and sailors who once relied on Omega watches. Even if the materials were changed, these watches are still waterproof to a depth of 60 meters. The bottom cover has a typical patented "NAIAD LOCK" system, and all inscriptions and decorations are perfectly aligned.
